Atheism, Not Religion, is the Opiate of the Masses

Karl Marx famously once said that “religion is the opiate of the masses.” While many people, especially in the West have discredited his ideas, they have not discredited all of them.  This is one of them. Not without seemingly logical (though I will argue as faulty) arguments, many people, particularly atheists, believe this idea, not because Marx said it, but because it seems like a true principle.

And at first glance, it does!

Us Christians don’t have to worry about life because we’ve got a big santa grandpa up in the clouds taking care of all our wishes and bruises while atheists “realize” that there is no such thing and they have to fix their own problems, right?

      Wrong.

Why I Believe in a Divine Creator

Many times people assume Christians believe in God with a "Blind Faith."

      Many times they are right.

      Many times they are wrong.

There are many Christians, and I would argue most, that believe in God with a blind faith. But just because some people believe in something with blind faith, it does not mean that all Christians do. Astonishingly, there are those of us who use real science and real logic as arguments for a god's existence. There are many arguments for such but I will focus on one, which I conclude as the biggest evidence or logical reason.

The Whistleblower

      Edward Snowden is many things.

He is a libertarian saint, he is a human right's activist and hero.

He is also a traitor, is wanted by the US government for epsionage, and may have committed some "light" treason.

Does the term, "Hate Crime" have a place in our legal system?

This post isn't necessarily a point I'm trying to make, just a question I'm trying to ask.

Should someone receive a greater punishment simply because they commit a crime because they don't like the color of someone's skin, religion, or sexual orientation? The first response is: "Of course!"

But when we really think about it, is that fair?

America: The Unappreciated Watch-Dog

The world complains a lot about Americans.

They're quick to call Americans lazy narcissists who rely on big guns instead of peaceful flowers to solve their problems.

      They're mostly right.

Abortion: The Great War-Mongering Fool

In the history of the U.S.A., there has never been something as cruel and as evil as abortion.

And yes, I know what I just said and yes, I am going to defend it.
